Children’s photography is how Photography by Suzanne began! As a mother of four, I started my career by photographing my own children. As my children have grown, I have continued the tradition with my grandchildren. The passion and devotion that I put into creating the perfect children’s portraits for my children and grandchildren is ingrained in me as a professional children’s photographer and will be demonstrated as I create the perfect images of your child.

Children’s photographers must work with incredible patience and care to create the perfect portrait of your child. Capturing your child’s sweet innocence, curiosity, and playfulness in a timeless professional portrait is my primary goal. I understand your child’s needs and provide breaks throughout the photography session to ensure that you get the image that you see in your mind. Unlike other children’s photography studios, I do not impose a strict time limit to photograph your child. Children areallowed time to become accustomed to their surroundings, and because my photography studios are fun and homey, children tend to feel very comfortable.

During your free consultation, we will discuss colors and styles of clothing that will work best to compliment your child’s features. A child’s features are delicate and innocent and it is important to select clothing that is simple for your child’s photography session. Perhaps you would like to tell a story with your child’s photograph? My wardrobe of period clothing from England and France, along with the appropriate props and sets, will help create that story – that timeless image of your child – the portrait that you will never take down!

Once your photography session is complete, I spend hours in extensive post-production.
